Dr. Jim started very early in veterinary medicine, but mostly that was just running around this place and doing everything his dad told him not to. After completing his Bachelors degree in Biology at UL, he went on to attend Auburn University (War Eagle!) where he received a Masters in Immunology. In 2012 he graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and was the recipient of the Hershey Comeaux Memorial Award of Excellence. He then moved to South Florida where he completed a 1-year rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital. He joined Carson Veterinary Clinic in 2014 and has been loving it ever since. His primary interests are internal medicine, rigid and flexible endoscopy, general and restorative dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. He is married to his fantastic and patient wife and their family currently includes two awesome little boys, a new baby girl, and one very hyper golden retriever named Sasha.
