Dr. Briana Cutshall
Dr. Briana is a small-animal veterinarian with a passion for providing compassionate, thoughtful care for pets and the people who love them. Her journey in veterinary medicine began as a kennel technician at Carson Animal Hospital, where she was shortly promoted to veterinary technician. This experience fostered her appreciation for the human-animal bond and inspired her to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
Originally from DeRidder, Louisiana, Dr. Briana received her Bachelor’s degree from UL-Lafayette before earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she returned to Carson Animal Hospital—this time as a veterinarian.
Dr. Briana’s particular interests include ophthalmology, dermatology, neurology, and soft tissue surgery. Integrative medicine is a special interest of hers, and she pursued additional training in veterinary acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine through Chi University. She enjoys combining evidence-based medicine with individualized treatment plans to help each patient feel their best.
Known for her warm, approachable personality, Dr. Briana strives to make both pets and their owners feel comfortable and cared for. She especially values educating clients and believes that helping owners understand their pet’s health is an important part of veterinary care. She works closely with each family to create individualized plans that consider their pet’s unique needs, as well as the goals and circumstances of their owners.
When she’s not at the clinic, you can find Dr. Briana enjoying a good thriller, planning her next beach trip, or spending time with her friends and family. She and her husband, Justin, are high school sweethearts and share three pets: Ginger Jane and Rita Louise, two very loved Chihuahuas, and Birdie Jo, their sweet Ragdoll cat. Dr. Briana feels incredibly fortunate to care for pets in the community and strives to make every visit as comfortable and positive as possible for both her patients and their families.
