Dr. Erica Fontenot
DVM, CVA, CTPEP
Dr. Fontenot graduated from Louisiana State University's School of Veterinary Medicine and earned certifications as a Veterinary Acupuncturist and Palliative/End-of-Life Care Practitioner through Chi University. She specializes in feline medicine and alternative therapies including acupuncture and herbal treatment, integrating traditional and integrative approaches for a well-rounded, whole-body approach to veterinary care. Her professional philosophy emphasizes creating a calm, fear-free environment where animals feel safe and owners feel supported, with particular focus on building trusting, compassionate relationships with both pets and their people. Originally from Baton Rouge, Dr. Fontenot relocated to the Lafayette area with her husband Eric, and they share their home with two dogs, one cat, and their two young sons.
