Dr. Jim R. Carson IV
DVM, MS
Dr. Carson IV developed his passion for veterinary medicine early, growing up coming to the clinic with his dad, who is also a veterinarian. He earned his Bachelor's in Biology from the University of Louisiana, then pursued a Master's in Immunology at Auburn University. He graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012, receiving the Hershey Comeaux Memorial Award of Excellence. Following a one-year rotating internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital in South Florida, he joined Carson Animal Hospital in 2014 and eventually became its owner. His clinical interests span internal medicine, endoscopy, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Outside the clinic, he pursues fly fishing and bird photography while raising a family with his wife and their golden retriever.
