Dr. Kristy Frady Furman

Dr. Furman is in her eighth year at Carson Animal Hospital. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and completed her veterinary training at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she developed interests in surgery, dermatology, ultrasound, and preventive care. Her clinical philosophy emphasizes individualized treatment: there's no one-size-fits-all plan for care — treatment should be tailored to each animal's needs, age, and the family's goals and resources. She prioritizes building strong client-pet relationships and adapting her approach whether managing preventive puppy care or senior pet comfort. Outside the clinic, Dr. Furman resides in Scott with her husband Danny, their son Dean, and their dog Maggie. She values time with family and vacationing with loved ones.
